Pastoral Supervision

Pastoral supervision, or ministerial accompaniment, is a confidential space where you can share your thoughts and reflections about the outworking of your faith and values in ministerial practice.

It is part of our lifelong discipleship where, in accountability with one another, we can grow to maturity as we respond to serve as agents of the Kingdom.

The Association of Pastoral Supervision and Education (APSE) describes the value of supervision as a regular, planned, and unhurried space which is theologically rich, and psychologically informed, attentive to spiritual, practical, and personal aspects of your unfolding ministry.

Our meetings will be most fruitful if you prepare carefully. It is good to review the overall shape and movement in your ministry, as well as to explore in depth some of the specific challenges. We need perspective to hold the big picture and the intricate detail together in faith.

Be open and courageous where things are difficult, or stuck. Bringing a problem to supervision is a sign of strength, not of weakness, and can release new insights and energies which may unlock longstanding patterns of negativity.

Please get in touch if you would like an introductory conversation to explore how we might work together.
